2020 Fall Tour

Regrets from SRAACA

ODMA / SRAACA Fall Tour Cancelled

With regrets we have decided to cancel the planned October Tour.

Too many factors influenced by restrictions, and reservations based on the 2020 Covid-19 crises make it impossible to plan properly this year. Let us hope 2021 brings “normalcy.” Best wishes to all in our clubs and hobby that we can get back to a situation where we can plan and gather to enjoy what we love to do, share antique car experiences without apprehension, or restrictions. Thanks to all who helped to try “putting it together.”

Our 2020 Poor Man’s Tour

As the ODMA Fall Tour

Weekend of Oct. 23rd,24th&25th

This year will be the ODMA / SRAACA Fall Tour.  Our friends in the Queen City Region are all invited, and this year we are also inviting all our Old Dominion Meet Association friends to join us as well. The ODMA, of which we are members, is comprised of most of the AACA regions in Virginia. We want them to come and enjoy the Valley we call home.

We are planning a mostly local tour, centered here in Winchester.

We have a Host hotel for visitors set up at the Holiday Inn Gateway, On Rt. 522. 333 Front Royal Pike Winchester, VA 22602.  540-667-3300.  We will gather there anduse it as a home Base.  A group rate has been arranged at $109.00 per night, which includes 2 $10.00 breakfast vouchers. Mention SRAACA or ODMA when you reserve, best done by phone.

We have a personal Tour of White Post Restorations on Friday afternoon, and will have a fun drive to and from on some of our scenic back roads. We will also be driving through the grounds at Historic Long Branch Estate.  Saturday will be a full day driving our area, with lunch, and several stops including our Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, which has a lovely formal gardens and outdoor displays as well as the indoor exhibits. Times are not finalized yet, but we will leave the Hotel at 9 AM so that anyone joining for the day can find us. We are also working on a fun stop for Sunday morning before people depart for home.

The days tour will cost $45.00 per person which includes lunch and admissions. A signup form will be available soon on the SRAACA, and ODMA web sites.

We are all hoping things get settled to some normality as soon as possible, so we can return to gathering with friends to enjoy our Hobbies, and share our “Love of the Tour.”
